A shot of me and Paulie on our last day in Mexico - 3 years ago last month. It's a little dark, but then again, so were we, all tanned after a wonderful week in the tropical sun. It was taken in the lobby of our beautiful Iberostar resort on the Mayan Riviera about half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen

Lovely place for an exotic vacation! Who is Paulie?
Paul (Paulie to me!) is one of our dearest friends. Brad met him (and Ron his long-time attendant, also in the photos) at university. And I have known them since I met Brad, so almost 19 years now. Paul and Ron and I have taken several trips together. The three of us went to San Francisco in 1996, where we also had a blast, though it rained every single day of our trip! Says a lot about a city if I like it even in the constant rain! :)
