Hey all... Brad and I are compiling a reading list of books to buy/borrow to take to the cottage with is this summer... So give us some of your suggestions/recommendations/favourites... Really... Leave a comment! Thanks!
I am dying to RE-read all my Armistead Maupin novels: Tales of the City, More Tales of the City, Further Tales of the City, Babycakes, Significant Others, Sure of You, Maybe the Moon, The Night Listener, and Michael Tolliver Lives - in that order. Are you up for the challenge?
I think Brad has read a lot of the Tales of the City series, and we both loves the TV series. I have read The Night Listener, which was quite good, as I recall... We will definitely have to take some Maupin to the cottage!
Joy: That's tough! I loke a lot of different genres. I read mostly ficton, though, and anything having to do with Russia. I have a list of my fave books/autors in my profile.
Others taunt me with having knelt at well-curbs Always wrong to the light, so never seeing Deeper down in the well than where the water Gives me back in a shining surface picture My myself in the summer heaven, godlike Looking out of a wreath of fern and cloud puffs. Once, when trying with chin against a well-curb, I discerned, as I thought, beyond the picture, Through the picture, a something white, uncertain, Something more of the depths—and then I lost it. Water came to rebuke the too clear water. One drop fell from a fern, and lo, a ripple Shook whatever it was lay there at bottom, Blurred it, blotted it out. What was that whiteness? Truth? A pebble of quartz? For once, then, something.

To all your lurkers: More please! :)
Ever read Wally Lamb's She Comes Undone? It was a page-tuner for me.
Haven't heard of this Maurice, but will definitely check it out. Thanks! Good to see you, btw!
Currently reading Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan.
What do you like? Let me know some authors or genre, and I'll see what I can suggest.
