We finally caught up with Don and Mar last night for after-work drinks. Shaun and Mary made it, too. Was great to see them all. Don and Mar have been extremely busy, also. They have a large garden and vineyard and they also grow blueberries and gooseberries, and they're beekeepers to boot! It's a long weekend here in Canada, and Don and Mar were smart and are taking Tuesday off as well. I considered doing the same, but never had time to get around to it. I'll take a few days off sometime soon and make a long weekend myself.
I'm glad I didn't have this week off on vacation, as the weather here has been god-awfull - cloudy, wet, and humid. Hopefully, it will change soon. we need some sunshine!
I've had a very productive morning thus far - I walked Kaiser, went to the farmers' market, got a haircut (read: buzzed off completely with a No. 1 blade), returned mom's books to the library, went to the bakery for bread, stopped and picked up a paper, and made out our grocery list. Now I've got to bike my 21 km, do the dishes from yesterday, iron, make muffins, clean the house a bit, cook supper, and go up to the hospital to see Brad's mom. Then later on, we're going to try to drop by our friend Paul's place for a visit with him. We haven't seen him since we returned from Italy and he got back from California, so we have a LOT to catch up on!
Here's da boyz:

Oh God Jeff, I haven't been around here lately and such news. I hope everything will be better with your mother in law and Brad himself, it's good that you two have each other, you know? I'm glad to see that still nop matter what you keep posting pics of cute boys, in spanish we say "genio y fugura hasta la sepultura" wich means something like "Genius and figure, 'til death". Send u both a huge hugh, specially to Brad.
Fernando
Gracias, Fernando. Brad's mom continues to make progress. It was very bleak there for a while, but hopefully the worst is behind her now. Big hug back to you! :-)
